Comparing an Ebook’s Content with BolehMiles Original Post
Recently, it came to my attention that content in a paid ebook sold by an Instagram influencer appears very similar to writing published on BolehMiles. The ebook is hosted on the Notion platform.
I will not be naming the influencer, as the matter is being handled through formal legal channel to establish the facts. The purpose of this post is not to publicly call out anyone, but to raise awareness around originality and copyright.
Background
In November 2024, BolehMiles published its first article on EveryPay, explaining how readers could use the platform to earn more miles.
In March 2025, BolehMiles published a second article as part of a promotional campaign with EveryPay (IIMMPACT). In total, BolehMiles published two articles on EveryPay. At the time, BolehMiles was the only creator partnering with EveryPay.
The BolehMiles-EveryPay campaign concluded in May 2025. Shortly after that, EveryPay collaborated with an influencer who included a section in her paid ebook explaining EveryPay. That section contains content that appears to be very similar to the two original articles published by BolehMiles.
While BolehMiles promoted EveryPay, the articles were written entirely by BolehMiles without any direction or prescribed wording from EveryPay. The content reflects independent opinion. The copyright remains with BolehMiles, and no redistribution rights were granted.
The Similarities
By the time you find this post, sections of the ebook may have been edited or no longer available. But I have retained the snapshot of the ebook as of 26 January 2026, in the section below. Relevant materials have also been properly retained with my lawyer as well.
- Introduction Paragraph: It all started with a basic introduction to Every as a company, which looks similar in structure.

Every (IIMMPACT SDN BHD) offers various services on its platform. One of these services is EveryPay, which allows users to pay rent, mortgage, and other expenses using credit cards.
The Every app is available on both iOS and Android. The platform also offers other services such as paying monthly utilities, purchasing eSIMs, and buying vouchers. However, this article focuses specifically on EveryPay. |

2. Explaining EveryPay Express Payments: Notice how I use the phrase ‘almost instantly’, a deliberately non-committal way of avoiding a specific timeframe. The ebook uses ‘almost instantly’ too. Throughout the paragraph, some words were different, but the the words remain very similar.
| BolehMiles Original | Express Payments are processed almost instantly. With Express, users earn Every Reward Points at up to 0.2 Points Per Ringgit (PPR), which can be converted to programs such as Aeroplan, Flying Blue… |

3. Peter’s Standard Pitch: Here, I provide my view on acquiring miles through this EveryPay method using my standard pitch that BolehMiles readers are used to.
Starting from “In the Miles Game…”, word-for-word, the similarity metric is 100%.
| BolehMiles Original |
Is this a good deal? In the miles game, we always aim to acquire miles at the lowest possible cost. We recommend buying miles only if you have a redemption in mind and plan to use them in the near future. |

4. Justifying the cost of Aeroplan and Flying Blue: Notice how we won’t say it’s dirt cheap, and the ebook also won’t say it’s super cheap. We won’t say, they also won’t say. BolehMiles consistently writes from a third person perspective using ‘we’, which makes it unusual for the influencer to also refer to herself using ‘we’, instead of ‘I’.
| BolehMiles Original |
Even if you don’t have these credit cards, using
EveryPay via DuitNow still presents a
good opportunity to buy
Aeroplan and Flying Blue at
5 CPM.
While we would not say 5 CPM is dirt cheap for Aeroplan and Flying Blue, it is the lowest price that you can find on the market right now. |

5. Explaining the amount of miles you can “buy”: Again, similar structure, sequence and choice of words.
| BolehMiles Original | Of course, the amount of miles you can “buy” through this promotion is limited by the actual amount of payments you need to make, whether for rent, mortgage, or other expenses. |

6. Explaining how you can use the 3 different version of Alliance Visa: The flow and sequencing of the explanation are notably similar.
| BolehMiles Original | If you have payments exceeding RM3,000, you can top up your ShopeePay e-wallet using the three versions of the Alliance Visa card (Platinum, Visa Infinite, and Virtual) to make a larger payment of up to RM9,000. |

7. Final sanity check for readers to run the math: Even this feels very, very familiar.
| BolehMiles Original | As always, make sure the math checks out for you before proceeding, that is, ensure the cost of miles is lower than your own valuation. |

On Copyright and Originality
A significant amount of time and effort goes into creating content on BolehMiles. The articles are based on real experiences, careful research, and honest recommendations. The Copyright Act 1987 of Malaysia provides protection for creators of original works, including BolehMiles and the wider creator community in Malaysia, supporting healthy growth of original content.
BolehMiles will exercise its legal rights, where appropriate, to establish the facts when we come across similar productions.
Closing
After noticing the similarities, I understand that you may have your own reactions. You are welcome to share your thoughts or show support. However, I kindly ask that you do not name the influencer in the BolehMiles Telegram channel.
I cannot comment further on this matter at the moment, as it is being handled through my lawyer, who specialises in intellectual property. I am also taking some time to process the situation.
Hopefully, I will not need to spend more time dealing with this instead of creating new content.
I will provide an update in due course. In the meantime, it will be back to the usual BolehMiles content soon.
