KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes is a monthly feature of the Krisflyer (Meat) miles program. Each month, usually on the 15th, selected routes are offered at 30% off the regular Saver redemption rate for flights in the next month.
The downside? No flexibility, no refunds, no changes, and blackout periods apply. And you must be ready to fly the next month.
Married Bookings from KUL
Spontaneous Escapes are designed for last-minute travel from Singapore. Previously, those in Malaysia had to position themselves in Singapore to take advantage of the promo.
Since April 2026, married-segment bookings have been available from KUL, for example KUL-SIN-BKK.
The catch is that both the KUL-SIN sector and the onward Spontaneous Escapes flight must have Spontaneous Escape award availability.
This month, outbound KUL–SIN availability is plentiful in both Business and Economy. With up to 3 flights available daily in September, our chances this month are just as good as those flying direct from Singapore.

China is the main theme for September, with Hangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai all available for Married bookings on Business Class. It’s also a great time to visit, as the summer heat is beginning to ease in September.
Cairns on Business is another option this month, perfect for exploring the Great Barrier Reef and surrounding rainforests.

The China theme continues for Economy, with 5 major cities on offer. Chongqing is a great pick for its fiery Mala hotpot and futuristic city vibes. MH doesn’t fly to Chongqing, and while Hainan and Sichuan Airlines fly direct from KUL, SQ offers a more premium experience.
Seoul is another great pick at just 18,900 KrisFlyer miles, compared to the 20,000 Enrich Points you’d normally need for an Enrich Saver redemption, not to mention a better cabin product.
Amsterdam was featured in August and remains on the list this month. It’s a great choice for a family holiday, with attractions such as Keukenhof and the Zaanse Schans windmills.
Conclusion
