Promo: SQ KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes May 2026 (Now Malaysia-friendly, and includes Scoot)

Book from now till 30 April 2026, for flights in May 2026

KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes is a monthly feature of the Krisflyer (Meat) miles program. Each month, usually on the 15th, selected routes are offered at 30% off the regular Saver redemption rate for flights to or from Singapore for the next month. The downside? No flexibility, no refunds, no changes, and blackout periods apply. And you must be ready to fly the next month.

You can check out the full list of discounted destinations on the Singapore Airlines website here.

30% off applies from KUL this month (Married – No need for separate ticket)

Previously, the 30% discount only applied from SIN (e.g. SIN–DPS). If you were starting from KUL, you had to position yourself to SIN on a separate ticket, either via a Scoot redemption or a cheap revenue flight on AirAsia or Batik Air.

Not ideal, because you had to stitch two separate bookings and no interline for your check-in bags.

This month though, you can enjoy the same 30% off when booking from KUL via SIN (e.g KUL–SIN–DPS), in one married booking, with no hassle for positioning.

Not many medium to long haul Business Class options this month, with only Manila and Cairns in the mix.

Still, short haul regional routes could still appeal to those who prefer widebody comfort over MH’s narrowbody recliner seats. What’s even better? You get access to two quality lounges, which we’ll go through below.

Enjoy two top-tier lounges along the way

Since now you can book the spontaneous escape in one PNR, you get access to

  1. Global Lounge at KLIA
  2. SilverKris Lounge at Changi.

The Global Lounge arguably the most exclusive lounge in KLIA T1 right now. Solid food selection and a modern lounge atmosphere to unwind before your flight.

SilverKris Lounge Changi T3

Then at Singapore Changi, if time permits, you can also enjoy the SilverKris lounges at either T3 or T2. The T3 SilverKris is the larger flagship, but if you’re short on time, the T2 lounge is a convenient option as well.

Exceptions for SQ Zone 6?

Weirdly though, SQ seems to have excluded Zone 6 from the 30% discount for these married segments, covering destinations like India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, and Bangladesh. So if you’re planning a trip to Zone 6, just keep this in mind.

Scoot gets Spontaneous Escapes 12% – 15% discount starting this month

Scoot_BolehMiles

As we mentioned in our Scoot Guide, redeeming KrisFlyer miles on Scoot already offers incredible value, with CPM sometimes exceeding 10CPM for short-haul routes.

Now with Spontaneous Escapes, you get a further 15% off, bringing it down to a rock-bottom price. For mileschasers outside KUL or residing in East Malaysia, this also opens up cheap connections to Scoot’s wider network.

If you don’t mind long-haul in budget Economy, flying from Kuantan to Sydney or Haneda for 11,900 KF miles is just great value. One small detail to note: Some origins, like Subang, only get a 12% discount instead of the full 15%, like so:

Conclusion

With SQ at 30% off for married bookings from KUL and Scoot now get 15% Spontaneous Escape, this is positive direction for mileschasers in Malaysia, enhancing the value of the KF miles you collect via credit cards.

That’s all for now. We share deals like this regularly on our BolehMiles Telegram, so join if you haven’t.
