Book from now till 30 June 2026, for flights in July 2026

KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes is a monthly feature of the Krisflyer (Meat) miles program. Each month, usually on the 15th, selected routes are offered at 30% off the regular Saver redemption rate for flights in the next month.
The downside? No flexibility, no refunds, no changes, and blackout periods apply. And you must be ready to fly the next month.

Married Bookings from KUL
Spontaneous Escapes are designed for last-minute travel from Singapore. Previously, those in Malaysia had to position themselves in Singapore to take advantage of the promo.
Since April 2026, married-segment bookings have been available from KUL, for example KUL-SIN-BKK.
The catch is that both the KUL-SIN sector and the onward Spontaneous Escapes flight must have Spontaneous Escape award availability.
For this month, the available outbound KUL-SIN flights are
- Economy: SQ103 (08:55am – 10:10am)
- Business: SQ105 (10:25am – 11:45am)
With only one slot each for Economy and Business Class, married-segment options are rather limited.

Japan and Korea dominate this month’s list for Economy, likely driven by lower demand as travelers avoid the summer heat.
While July is summer in North Asia, Korea tend to be slightly more comfortable than Japan’s major cities, which can be extremely hot and humid during this period.
Most SQ routes are operated by widebody planes (except Chongqing and Busan), which can be a more comfortable alternative to the narrowbody planes on MH.

Conclusion
North Asia takes center stage this month, with discounted redemptions to Japan, Korea and China. If you don’t mind the summer heat, this month’s promo is great value.
