Enhanced Promo: Pay Rent & Big Expenses with EveryPay (Exclusive BolehMiles Deal!)

Earn miles on your rent, mortgage or other big expenses through EveryPay, now with more lower fees!

IIMMPACT is our partner, and using promo code BOLEHMILES helps support the growth of BolehMiles at no additional cost to you. Our opinion will always remain independent, and we only recommend deals that truly add value. We recommend buying miles only if you have a redemption in mind and plan to use them in the near future.

Overview

To earn more miles, we want to pay with a credit card at every possible opportunity. EveryPay is a platform that allows you to pay for rent, mortgages, and other big payments using credit cards for a fee.

We’ve previously covered EveryPay in detail (read here). If you are new to EveryPay, be sure to read that article first.

Here are the links to download Every app for iOS and Android.

Paying a fee falls into the realm of buying miles. Given the current state of Malaysia’s miles game—with devaluations and relatively lower credit card earn rates — buying miles strategically and using alternative miles (seafood miles) are great ways to grow your miles portfolio.

The Promo

You can choose between one-time or recurring payment. For both one-time and recurring payments, you can choose between Express Payment or Standard Payment (3 business days). Your card will be charged instantly regardless of the payment speed.

EveryPay transactions are tagged under MCC 7278 – Buying or Shopping Services and will be treated as online transactions.

For a limited time only until 1 May 2025 (subject to extension), you can pay for your rent, mortgage, or other bills with using the BOLEHMILES promo code.

EveryPay Express

Express Payments are processed almost instantly. With Express, you’ll earn Every Reward Points at up to 0.2 Points Per Ringgit (PPR), which can be converted to Aeroplan, Flying Blue, Avios, Avianca, Etihad, Hainan, Qantas, Japan Airlines, Lotusmiles, Air India, and Accor.

We say “up to” because not all programs transfer at a 1:1 ratio from Every Reward Points to Miles — some use a 1.5:1 ratio instead. But more on that later.

Express – One Time or Recurring Payments

The promotional fees for Express Payments are the same for both one-time and recurring payments, as shown in the table below. While the fees are the same, setting up recurring payments helps automate your future payments—so you can stay on track and pay on time.

We use “Blended Cost” here because you earn both credit card reward points and Every Reward Points when you do Express Payments. While the value of each mile varies depending on the program, the blended cost gives you an overall picture of how much you’re really paying per mile when combining all rewards earned.

DuitNow Express Payment (Fee: 1%)

Why use EveryPay and pay via DuitNow when we could just do an online banking transfer instead? Well, by using EveryPay Express payments via DuitNow with 1% discounted fee, you earn Every Reward Points at 0.2MPR.

Effectively, you are acquiring Seafood Miles for 5 CPM— one of the lowest prices available on the market.

Even Lower CPM: Use Shopee Pay to Acquire A Mix of Enrich and Seafood Miles at 1.37 CPM

Here’s a pro-tip. You can top up ShopeePay e-wallet with Alliance Visa cards (0.53 MPR for e-wallet reload capped at RM3000 monthly), then use the DuitNow QR function on ShopeePay to make your EveryPay Express payment.

If you have payments exceeding RM3000, you can top up Shopee pay e-wallet with the 3 different versions of Alliance Visa (Platinum, Visa Infinite and Virtual) to make a bigger payment of up to RM9000.

This way, you can use up the e-wallet credits immediately while earning 0.53MPR thanks to Alliance Visa and 0.2MPR from Every Points.

Seafood Miles are more valuable than Enrich, but when we average out the cost, the blended CPM comes to just 1.37 CPM — still a great rate even if you’re only after Enrich.

DuitNow+ Express Payment (Fee: 2%)

This is a more advanced method. By using DuitNow+ Express payment with 2% fee, you can use Shopee Pay Later to pay for your rent or other big payments, then use the right credit card to pay off the Shopee Pay Later loan.

However, you can still use the CIMB e-Card and Alliance Visa, resulting in even better CPM, as listed below.

What’s good about Seafood Miles?

Accumulating miles is just the first part of the game; the real dificulty comes in how you redeem them.

Finding award availability for your desired date can be tricky, which is why flexibility matters. Having more options beyond Enrich and KrisFlyer opens up better redemption opportunities.

EveryPoints is flexible and you can convert them to a wide selection of frequent flyer programs such as Aeroplan and Flying Blue. Here are some of their sweet spots for your reference:

Flight Programme Airline Miles
Required
(Business)
KUL-SYD Aeroplan Singapore Airlines 45,000
SIN-FRA-JFK Aeroplan Singapore Airlines 87,500
KUL-TPE Flying Blue China Airlines 23,000
CGK-MEL Flying Blue Garuda Indonesia 36,500

Both Aeroplan and Flying Blue also offer several Economy sweet spots and generous stopover rules, which we’ll cover in another post.

Besides Aeroplan and Flying Blue, IIMMPACT has informed us that the following programs will be added as their transfer partners in the near future

  • Finnair Avios
  • Asia Miles
  • Royal Orchid Plus (Thai Airways)

We’ve previously covered the sweet spots of Avios (read here), which can be highly valuable for Malaysians. You can use Avios to fly Malaysia Airlines or take advantage of various sweet spots, such as Qatar’s Qsuite to Doha orFinnair Business to Northern Europe.

You can also get the following miles at 1:1 Ratio: Qantas, Etihad, Vietnam LotusMiles, Hainan Airlines Miles, and Air India Miles, although the use cases are limited.

EveryPoints can also be converted to Accor, Emirates Skywards, Japan Airlines, and Turkish Miles at 1.5:1 Ratio, for an effective cost of 7.5 CPM.

A special highlight goes to ALL Accor Points, which hold a flat redemption value of 9.4 cents per point. With this promotion, you’re effectively getting a 20% discount on Accor Points, making it a great opportunity for hotel redemptions.

Is this a good deal?

In the miles game, we always aim to acquire miles at the lowest possible cost. We recommend buying miles only if you have a redemption in mind and plan to use them in the near future.

For BolehMiles, we’ll only acquire miles if the cost is under 4 CPM for Enrich and under 5 CPM for KrisFlyer.Seafood Miles such as Aeroplan, Flying Blue and Avios are generally worth more, but we would try to acquire them under 6CPM. But value is subjective, and you should strive to derive your own valuation.

For this promotion, we have no problem recommending using credit cards payment options, i.e Platinum Charge Card, Alliance Visa, CIMB e-Card, and even Maybank MUVI (on MU win days).

Even if you don’t have these credit cards, using EveryPay via DuitNow still presents a good opportunity to buy Aeroplan and Flying Blue at 5 CPM. While we would not say 5CPM is dirt cheap for Aeroplan and Flying Blue, it is the lowest price that you can find on the market right now. Of course, the amount of miles you can “buy” through this promotion is limited by the actual amount of payments you need to make, whether for rent, mortgage, or other expenses.

As always, make sure the math checks out for you before proceeding—i.e., ensure the cost of miles is lower than your valuation.
